One of the young plants measures 1.50 m (5ft) today, a column! I planted it among daylilies to create contrast and verticality, and it's a success! The stems are very abundant in leaves and small flowers, they resist perfectly in strong winds.

Description

Linaria purpurea 'Alba' is a lovely perennial flowering for 3 months, notable for its upright habit.

This herbaceous plant can reach 80cm (32in) in height. Its leaves are lanceolate, and the flexible stems are adorned with small flowers shaped like wolf's mouths grouped in clusters. The flowers are white and have a curved spur, they persist from June to September, and add height to your flowerbeds.

Linaria thrives in sunny locations, in light, well-drained soil. It naturalizes very easily.

Great to combine with clematis.
