Description
The Persicaria (Polygonum) affinis Donald Lowndes is a ground cover variety, bearing numerous pale pink spikes of flowers that turn red as they fade.
Easy to grow, this lovely campanulate knotweed blooms continuously from early summer to autumn. A very adaptable perennial, it grows almost anywhere, only a scorching summer accompanied by dry and dusty soil can defeat it.
This lovely campanulate knotweed is planted along the edge of a bed or along a path, it grows alongside companion bellflower, ophiopogon, and heucheras.
