Description

Malva sylvestris 'Zebrina' is an herbaceous perennial with a magnificent display of flowers.

This mallow produces an abundance of straight stems adorned with pink flowers with a darker heart, bearing purplish, almost matte black stripes. The flowering lasts from June to September. At maturity, the mallow can reach 1.9m (6ft).

Mallows thrive in most soils. They require very little maintenance, making them a major ally for beginner gardeners. They are best exposed to sun or partial shade.

This perennial works beautifully with Knautia macedonica and lychnis.
