a serious doubt about its potential recovery, no growth - upon opening the package, the clumps had come out of the pots and the labels as well, so it is not possible to know what is what because there is no visible vegetation - the inside of the package is soaked.

Description

Scabiosa caucasica 'Alba' will amaze you with its pure white flowers in summer.

Of mountainous origin, scabious are perennial plants ideal for rustic and natural-looking flower beds. They bloom continuously from June to September, attracting butterflies. Excellent as cut flowers, they also have a special place in cottage gardens.

You can combine them with yarrows and grasses that enhance their habit.

Planting and care

Plant them in a sunny spot in cool climates and slightly shadier spots in warmer regions. They prefer slightly chalky, well-drained soils. Water them regularly, but not excessively. They sometimes tend to decline after 2 or 3 seasons. To keep them, enrich with organic fertiliser, and ensure they don't suffer from excessive moisture in winter by lightening the planting substrate with sand.
