The delivered young plant has recovered very well, but it only produces very few flowers regardless of the exposure (we have tried full sun and partial shade) and despite regular watering: plenty of beautiful leaves but few flowers.

Description

Stachys grandiflora superba is an easy-to-grow ground cover perennial with deep pink summer flowers. This superb perennial forms a very dense bushy clump of deciduous dark green, shiny, ovate, toothed leaves. The large, very bright, deep pinkish-purple flowers bloom in early summer, in well-separated spikes above the foliage. Stachys grandiflora Superba is hardy and easy to grow in full sun or partial shade in moist, heavy and rich soil. It adapts to many situations and can be planted it at the edge of a flower bed, at the base of shrub roses or alongside perennial geraniums. Stachys are hardy perennial plants. Some are well-known for their excellent foliage and some for their beautiful flowers.
