Description

Tiarella Tiger Stripe is a vigorous groundcover that spreads rapidly with its stolons to form a carpet of light green leaves, which are very tender and adorned with numerous clusters of pale pinkish-white flowers from April to July.

This stoloniferous Tiarella has a bushy habit and deciduous lobed leaves in a light green colour with purple veins and long petioles that turn reddish-brown in autumn. In April, stalks rise above the foliage to welcome delicate clusters of slightly pinkish-white flowers. In late spring, stolons will form and spread around the periphery to enlarge the clump.

Tiarella Tiger Stripe prefers a damp, humus-rich, well-drained and shaded soil, avoiding heavy, waterlogged soils in winter. Add compost at planting and mulch the soil to retain moisture in summer.

Tiarella Tiger Stripe is ideal under trees, in borders or shaded slopes, accompanied by Hostas, ferns, Rodgersia pinnata or other companion Tiarellas such as the Pink Skyrocket.
