A pruning knife with a non-slip leather handle and a curved and sharp steel blade with a beak-shaped tip. This sharp and handy tool is useful for clearing, pruning, cutting, and making kindling wood.

This Polet garden knife has a short handle covered in leather, which makes it easy to grip. Its curved blade made of wear-resistant and sharp steel makes very clean cuts. This small and handy traditional tool has been used for a long time to make or trim bushes, clear brush, prune and trim branches, prune vines, and prepare small pieces of wood.

The range of pruning tools developed by Polet incorporates high-quality materials and ergonomic design, making gardening work easier and more enjoyable. This scythe resembles a wide knife, with a bevelled blade and a curved tip, which is particularly useful for gripping the stems or peduncles to be cut. It is used for pruning perennials and bushes with young, still green and flexible wood. It can also be used for picking flowers or fruits, such as grapes. It can be used for preparing stems for cuttings and for performing more substantial grafts, such as cleft and inlay grafts, on subjects with thick bark, such as fruit trees. In this case, the knife can be used to remove "grafting" stems and to prepare deep insertions on rootstocks.

Detailed features

Directions for use This tool is used for pruning perennials and bushes with young, still green and flexible wood with a narrow diameter. It can be used for picking flowers or fruits such as grapes, for example. It is also used for pruning small branches or for clearing brush. The knife is also useful for preparing cuttings and for carrying out more substantial grafting, such as grafting with a whip and cleft grafting, on subjects with thick bark, like fruit trees. In this case, the pruning knife is used to take cuttings and prepare deep insertions on rootstocks. Clean the blade with alcohol after use, as this prevents the transmission of diseases from one plant to another, and also helps to keep your tool in good condition for a long time (the sap from certain plants can damage the blade or make it sticky over time). It is advisable to use a lubricating spray to clean and protect the blade from rust. Sharpen it at the slightest sign of weakness. Store this tool away in a dry place, away from bad weather.
