Description
The 'Ozeana' rose bush is a true romantic. Whether trained on an arch or trellis or grown as a large bush, it makes a big impact. This variety captivates with its beautiful roses' abundance, style, and fragrance. Along its stems, bouquets of double and plump flowers bloom from summer to autumn, displaying a gradient of warm lilac pink in a cloud of oriental scents. Coming from Germany, this whirlwind of fantasy and beauty has nothing to envy English roses!
This climbing rose sends out large, strong, but flexible stems up to 3.50 m (11ft) high and covers an area of 1.5 m (5ft) in width. It can also be trained as a bush, forming a very beautiful tall, wide, and rounded mass. The purple stems of this rose bear beautiful foliage, shiny, abundant, and fairly dark green. Their natural resistance to rose diseases is quite commendable, though not exceptional: a few foliar spots may appear in humid weather, after each wave of flowering and at the end of the season. The flowering is very perpetual, almost continuous from June to October if the soil remains moist and appears on the plant from bottom to top. The large flowers, with a gradient of warm lilac pink to paler on the periphery, are at least 10 cm (4in) in diameter. Slightly globular, they comprise over 40 petals and are grouped in small bouquets. They tend to droop downwards slightly, allowing you to admire their beauty and savour their medium to strong intensity scent. The foliage of this deciduous rose falls in autumn.
Like other climbers, the 'Ozeana' rose is incomparable for giving a touch of abandonment when planted above overly strict flowerbeds or in a large hedge. It is an ideal companion for dead trees that it will revive, with uncertain fences and cabins to which it gives incredible charm. Trained on an arch, near the terrace, or against a wall, it will create a romantic and fragrant passage. Since its flowering lasts for three months, it can be paired, for example, with a 'Princess Diana' or 'Miss Bateman' texensis clematis, a white jasmine, or a white or bright pink annual sweet pea.

Planting and care
To plant your climbing Rose 'Ozeana', choose a sunny or lightly shaded spot in your garden. These plants are tolerant, but won't appreciate soil that is too limestone-rich or excessively acidic. As long as the soil is well-worked, deep, and rich enough, your roses will adapt to any garden. When planting, crumble the soil and add an amendment like blood, fish and bone to the bottom of the planting hole. After planting, water generously to remove any air pockets, and continue watering regularly for a few weeks to encourage root growth.
Pruning is essential for climbing roses to flower. For climbing roses, prune the stems that bloomed the previous year back to 3 or 4 buds, or cut them to 15cm (6in). Tie the new sturdy stems and remove the old stems if necessary. For a more elegant habit, choose an outward-facing bud. Take the opportunity to remove any dead wood and unsightly branches during pruning, and prune at an angle above a bud. Once the flowers bloom, remove any faded blooms to stimulate the development of other buds.
Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
