Rosebush given to my father, it's quite impressive. Beautiful roses and a nice structure. I highly recommend it!

Description

The Generosa 'Paul Bocuse' Rose is a modern bush rose. From May to the first frost, numerous well-double flowers emerge. These cup-shaped old-fashioned roses are a creamy pink with a touch of orange that evolves throughout the flowering period.

The flowering releases a subtle fruity fragrance of melon, cherry, and green tea depending on the atmosphere. The Generosa rose is a very perpetual variety. The green foliage is deciduous.

The 'Paul Bocuse' rose is a vigorous variety and very hardy. At maturity, this rose can reach a height of 1.5m (5ft) and is therefore one of the tallest Generosa roses. You can grow it in borders or as a standalone plant. Its cut flowers will make delightful bouquets.

Obtained by Guillot in 2004.

Planting and care

Roses prefer a sunny location (at least 4 to 5 hours of sun per day) but sheltered from the scorching midday rays and strong winds. They appreciate loose, permeable, deep, and fertile soils. They prefer a neutral to slightly acidic soil, but will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well worked and sufficiently rich. To plant your rose in a pot, work the soil to a depth of 25 cm (10in) by crumbling the soil and placing a basal amendment such as dried blood or dehydrated horn, position your seedling in the hole by covering the top of the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil, fill in and water generously to remove air pockets. In dry weather, it is necessary to water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate rooting. Also, remember to provide your rose with special rose fertiliser that stimulates plant flowering. Prune the branches by one third each spring.
