Thanks to the people (for order preparation and shipping), the rose bush I received looks healthy. Planted near varieties like "Rose de Perouges," "Red Leonardo Da Vinci," "Milano," "Bordure Vive," and others... Now I'm patiently waiting for it to take root... (or not?)

The 'Mainaufeuer' rose is a dwarf or ground cover rose. The petals of its roses are a gorgeous dark red, opening up to a yellow gold heart. The flowers, grouped in dense bouquets, have a slight fragrance. Under their weight, the stems curve to give the rose a slightly weeping appearance.
This ground cover rose, with its fiery colours, will fill your borders, slopes, or the base of your trees all summer long. It is very vigorous and will spread quickly. You can also grow it as a dwarf rose in a planter or pot.
The name 'Mainaufeuer' comes from the German island of Mainau, located on Lake Constance. This island has a long tradition of parks and gardens, and is often referred to as the island of flowers or the flower boat. It is likely this reputation that inspired the breeder of this rose. 'Mainaufeuer' was awarded the gold medal at the international competition in Baden-Baden in 2009.

Botanical data
Plant your 'Mainaufeuer' rose in a sunny location. This rose is tolerant but does not like excessive limestone. It will adapt to any garden as long as the soil is well cultivated and rich enough. It is wise to lightly mound soil around the graft point of the bush, as this will provide protection to this vital part of the plant. To plant your rose, work the soil well, crumbling it finely. You can add an amendment, such as dried blood or dehydrated horn, to the bottom of the planting hole. Water generously after planting to eliminate any air pockets. Water regularly for a few weeks to facilitate root growth. Pruning is not necessary for ground cover roses. Use it to control your flowerbeds or to keep them compact in pots. Roses are often stained or unsightly at the end of summer, but this is not a problem for their development. These stains are not harmful to the rose, as it is a natural phenomenon.Â

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
