Rosa Jardin des Tuileries - Hybrid Tea Rose

The Jardin des Tuileries Rose is one of Delbard's new creations that emphasize the fragrance and romance of flowers while not neglecting the robustness of the plants. With its antique form, this rose opens in a full cup shape in a soft gradient from cream orange to tender pink and releases a subtle powdery perfume. This variety's flowering is continuous, and it is highlighted by ample foliage that is very dark green and glossy. It is a small bush that hides a robust health beneath its delicate appearance. Beautiful in flower beds, its roses are also stunning in a vase.

'Jardin des Tuileries' or 'Delcleor', registered in 2017 by Delbard, has already received two awards: the gold medal at the international rose competition in Baden-Baden and the perfume prize in Courtrai. It is a modern bush rose with clustered flowers (floribunda) with a bushy habit. It reaches an average size of 50 cm (20in) in all directions, with rapid growth. This rose produces thorny branches that bear foliage with large, toothed, glossy leaflets in a very dark green. All summer and until October, if faded flowers are removed, the plant continuously produces 6 to 12 well-double medium-sized flowers, 8 cm (3in) in diameter, with a slightly rounded cup shape reminiscent of particular antique roses. Their colour ranges from creamy orange-pink to very tender pink, with the exterior of the flower often being almost white, tinged with pink. The flowers appear at the end of long shoots from the current year or on 2-year-old stems. Their fragrance is medium to light intensity, more noticeable in calm and mild weather. The foliage of this variety is healthy. Deciduous, it falls in autumn and reappears in spring.

'Jardin des Tuileries', with its compact size, long fragrant flowering period, and nostalgic roses, finds its place in all gardens, even when space is limited. It is ideal for planting in flower beds or groups of 3 plants at the centre of a flower bed. It blends well with light perennials and annuals such as paniculate gypsophila, campanulas, paniculate phlox, or perennial salvias. It can also be paired with a small herbaceous clematis (alpina, integrifolia, heracleifolia) or a red ground cover rose. It can also be placed near the house to enjoy its fragrance, alone or combined with the sparkling white rose 'Fée des Neiges'. Finally, its roses are stunning in bouquets, paired with lilies in summer or asters in autumn.
