Thanks to the individuals (LP or CP order preparation & Laéticia from the shipping department), the rose bush I received appears to be healthy. Planted near the 'Snow Goose' variety, I am now looking forward to seeing its progress... Note: received with the essential variety label for identifying the rose bush in all seasons.

Description

The Rosier Rosanatura 'Alba' is endowed with the same major qualities as the Decorosiers, with the addition of fragrance and a resolutely natural style, perfectly in tune with the times. Its small white wild roses with yellow hearts are gathered in generous panicles, their subtle fragrance delighting the gardener as much as it attracts bees and other pollinators. Very flowerful from June to September, adorned with small fruits at the end of the season, this lively bush provides an exceptional, almost permanent decoration while requiring very little maintenance. Easy, generous, undemanding, simple, and charming, it easily blends with other flowers and will find its place in any garden.

The Rosier Rosanatura 'Alba' (Visamalbi') is part of a new generation of landscape roses with a more "wild" appearance, developed, edited, and distributed by Verdia in partnership with Globe Planter. The varieties that make up this collection are all grown in France. They are both fragrant, floriferous, reblooming, highly disease-resistant, and low water demanding.

This Rosier Rosanatura Alba is classified as a modern shrub and landscape rose. Its small, fragrant flowers grouped in long panicles may come from Rosa multiflora, known for its exceptional robustness. The plant forms an upright bush, slightly taller than wide, about 1.20 m (4ft) in height and 1 m (3ft) in width, depending on growing conditions. It is very floriferous and continuously produces an abundance of single flowers measuring 3-4 cm (1-2in), with 5 petals. They emit a sweet, light fragrance and are gathered in long flower heads. After pollination, small round fruits form, which turn reddish when mature. Its healthy foliage consists of small, slightly glossy, bright green leaves covering thorny stems. This hardy variety adapts to any well-prepared soil.

Rosanatura 'Alba' can be used in containers, flower beds, large spaces, slopes, or low hedges. It adapts to all soils that are not too wet and all climates, which allows it to be planted almost anywhere. It has a bushy growth habit that works wonders in low shrub beds, paired with other Rosanatura or Decorosier varieties such as Vesuvia, Isalia, and Emera. When planted en masse, it can border pathways and highlight flower beds. It can be paired with perennial geraniums (Geranium Blue Cloud, Anne Folkard, Nimbus, Orion), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, lavenders, snapdragons, foxgloves, or other Stachys. Left to grow freely, it will form a natural-looking bush, perfect for adding a touch of country charm to the patio.

Planting and care

Rosanatura rose bushes thrive in sunny locations receiving at least 4-5 hours of sunlight per day, but they should be sheltered from strong winds. They are water-efficient and can tolerate heat, adapting well to most soils. However, dry soil in summer can affect the flowering, so it's important to ensure the plant is well-rooted. Loose, permeable, deep, and humus-rich soils are ideal for rose bushes. They prefer slightly acidic soil but will grow well in any garden as long as the soil is well-worked and rich enough.

If you want to plant your rose bush in a pot, work the soil to a depth of 25cm (10in), crumble it well, and place a base amendment like blood, fish and bone at the bottom of the planting hole. Put your plant, which should be removed from its pot, in the hole and cover the top of the root ball with 3cm (1in) of soil. Fill the hole and water generously to remove air pockets. In dry weather, water regularly for a few weeks to help root growth. Remember to provide your rose bush with special rose fertiliser to stimulate plant flowering.

Pruning is not essential, but it can be done at the end of winter to clear up old wood and shorten branches to 2/3 of their growth.

Roses may develop unsightly spots at the end of summer, but this is a natural occurrence and doesn't harm the rose's growth.
