Thank you to the staff (for the order preparation and shipping), the plant I received looks healthy. Planted it, close to the "Venus-Ikanosia" variety, now patiently waiting for it to take root... or not?

Description

The 'Pick'n Go' Rose Bush is adorned with a multitude of very double flowers, shaped in an old-fashioned way, in a pretty pink with amber reflections, exhaling a pleasant fruity fragrance. They bloom in bouquets throughout the summer, on a vigorous but compact and robust bush, whose beautiful matte green foliage resists diseases very well. As its name suggests, this pretty variety is particularly suitable for picking and making bouquets. Its small size and generosity make it an excellent rose bush for flower beds, which also adapts very well to pot cultivation.

The 'Pick'n Go' Rose Bush is a beautiful variety created by the New Zealand breeder Bob Matthews, whose creations are relatively unknown in Europe. The plant forms in a few years a upright, bushy and dense bush, with thorny stems, about 65 cm (26in) tall and 50 cm (20in) wide, adorned with very healthy foliage, cut into large toothed leaflets of a matte green. Its flowering is very perpetual, starting in May-June depending on the regions, renewing itself in the middle of summer if the soil remains moist, and ending in October. Its corollas are very double (80 petals), medium-sized, gathered in bouquets of 4 to 6 flowers. The tightly closed buds open in round cups, organised in quarters. Their colour is a warm pink, with amber reflections at the heart of the flower, lighter on the periphery. Their rose fragrance reveals fruity notes of peach and almond, and is more noticeable in warm and calm weather. The deciduous foliage falls in autumn.

Cluster-flowered roses allow for beautiful small hedges, planted mixed along the terrace or in small shrub flower beds. Combine them with Japanese spireas, dwarf weigelas, caryopteris, and peonies, for example. They are good companions for paniculate phlox and tall gypsophila. The modest size of this 'Pick'n Go' rose bush finds its place in all gardens, even small ones, or in a large pot to adorn the balcony or terrace. Its use is versatile, according to the desires of each gardener: in a rose bed, planted in groups of 3 to 5 plants, or in a large border. It will blend well with light and easy-to-grow plants such as perennial geraniums (Geranium 'Blue Cloud', 'Anne Folkard', 'Nimbus', 'Orion'), bellflowers (lactiflora, rapunculoides), catmints, cornflowers, foxgloves, phlox, etc.

Planting and care

Plant this floribunda rose from November to March, in ordinary, well-loosened and free-draining soil. Roses prefer clayey soils, rather heavy than light. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to bury compost, decomposed manure or leaf-mould at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose dreads waterlogged soils in winter. Place it in a sunny position, at most in partial shade. Roses are greedy plants, a specific rose fertiliser application will be beneficial when the foliage emerges, then regularly during the entire flowering period.

To encourage re-blooming, regularly remove faded flowers. Floribunda rose varieties are more vigorous and floriferous than large-flowered rose varieties. Therefore, the stems should be pruned to about a quarter of their length (4 to 6 buds from the base of the stem) at the end of winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud, so that the bush thickens and the branches do not become tangled in the centre of the shrub.
