Thanks to the individuals (Clothilde for order preparation and ? from the shipping department), the rose bush received as a warranty replacement seems healthy to me. Planted in a pot to allow it to grow, I am now waiting for it to take root ...(or not?).

The 'Golden Showers' Rose is an old variety, but still appreciated for its vigor and generous, bright and natural yellow flowering. Naturally climbing, this rose can also be used as a bush by pruning it at the end of winter, which suits it perfectly. Its glossy foliage of a very dark green forms a beautiful contrast with its semi-double roses, in shades of yellow. The plant is covered in flowers from June to October, with a small summer break if it is hot and dry. This rose full of pleasant surprises is also thornless, it tolerates poor and dry soils and partial shade. All these qualities are reasons to invite it to the garden, if you like yellow flowers of course!
The climbing rose 'Golden Showers' was obtained in 1956 by Lammerts. From a horticultural point of view, it is part of the complex family of cluster-flowered roses. It is a woody climbing stem rose with fairly rigid stems that can reach 3m (10ft) in height, or even a little more. Pruned every year, it will form a beautiful bush of about 1.70m (6ft) in all directions. Its deciduous foliage, of a very dark green, is not very susceptible to diseases under good growing conditions, although it can be susceptible to marsonia in humid and mild weather, especially after flowering. The flowers, grouped in bouquets, are medium-sized and semi-double. Their color is a bright yellow shaded with apricot at the opening. They then fade to cream and reveal a beautiful bouquet of orange stamens. It blooms from June to October, abundantly if it does not lack water. This flowering is very lightly scented and is visited by pollinators.
Modern climbing roses allow for creating sumptuous decorations throughout the summer period, requiring very little maintenance except for regular watering in summer in case of high heat and prolonged drought. 'Golden Showers' can be trained on an east-facing wall, a wire fence, a small tree or even a chicken coop, a garden shed. In a hedge or flower bed, it will go well with old roses, white or red flowering shrubs. Mix your climbing roses together, or combine them with easy-care large-flowered clematis like 'Etoile Violette' or Broughton Star'. They are good companions for panicle phlox, delphiniums, foxgloves, catmints, as well as annual or perennial morning glories and sweet peas.

Botanical data
Plant the 'Golden Showers' rose bush from November to March in ordinary, well-loosened and drained soil. Roses prefer clay soil rather than light soil. In soil that is too sandy, too compact or too dry in summer, it is preferable to bury compost, decomposed manure or compost at the bottom of the planting hole. However, this rose bush fears waterlogged soil in winter. Install it in a sunny position or, at most, in partial shade. Roses are hungry plants, a specific fertiliser application will be beneficial at the start of vegetation, and regularly throughout the flowering period. To encourage repeat flowering, regularly remove faded flowers.
Floribunda rose varieties are more vigorous and more floriferous than large-flowered rose varieties. Therefore, prune the stems by about one-quarter of their length (from 4 to 6 eyes from the base of the stem) at the end of winter. Always prune above an outward-facing bud to allow the bush to bush out and prevent the branches from tangling in the centre of the branches.
Note: to shape this rose bush as a shrub, shorten the branches by one-third at the end of winter.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
