Description

The Premium Resistance Lawn is a blend of coated grass seeds selected for their resistance to physical stress and diseases. The seeds germinate faster at low temperatures, and the grasses root deeper and create a dense and durable turf that requires little maintenance. This lawn stays green all year round in cool soil. This blend is used on playgrounds and sports fields that are particularly demanding. The seeds are sown by broadcasting from March to June or in September-October in the sun, in well-prepared and loosened soil. 2.5kg can cover up to 125m².

Composition: 100% coated seeds.

  • Coating: Trichoderma (mycorrhizal fungus that associates with plant roots) and specific NPK fertilizers for the grass varieties used in this blend.
  • 45% English Ryegrass including RGA 4N
  • 40% Tall Fescue
  • 5% Meadow Foxtail

Product features and benefits:

  • Low-temperature germination (germinates at 3-4°C (37.4-39.2°F) in the soil compared to 7°C (44.6°F) for a lawn composed only of English Ryegrass 2N).
  • High tolerance to stress and diseases.
  • Very good resistance to trampling and uprooting thanks to deep and dense rooting.
  • Density, fineness, and sustained colour all year round.
  • Quick and durable establishment.

Usage and dosage:

  • 2.5kg: up to 125m²
  • Sowing rate: approximately 20 g/m²

In the hottest and driest regions it is almost impossible to have a lawn that stays green in summer without watering. Left unwatered it will often take on the characteristic appearance of a 'doormat'; however, it will green up again as soon as the rains return in late summer or early autumn.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place from March to June (or September-October in hot and dry climates), in a well-worked soil, free of weeds, refined and raked. Sow by broadcasting on the surface of the soil, then lightly rake to cover the seeds. Optionally, use a roller to ensure good seed adhesion to the soil. Regularly water with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if it doesn't rain.

Dosage:

  • 1 box of 2.5kg for 125m², approximately 20 g/m²
