Description

The Turfline Extra Dry Grass is a blend of particularly robust grasses designed to create or renovate a resilient short grass meadow, resistant to heat, cold, and drought. This composition quickly establishes a perennial, decorative tapetum, even in winter. Its deep rooting provides excellent tolerance to heat, cold, diseases, and foot traffic. Once established, this grass requires no watering or special maintenance due to its rapid regeneration and self-repairing properties. The ideal period for sowing is from April to September, at a rate of 10 to 15 g/m². The seeds are broadcast in the sun, in well-prepared and loosened soil. 1kg is enough to seed 65 m² of short grass meadow, or 100 m² for overseeding.

Composition:

  • 60% Tall Fescue
  • 20% Tetraploid Ryegrass Quick Action®
  • 20% Cynodon dactylon

The tetraploid ryegrass Quick Action® is a grass that establishes quickly in all seasons, requires minimal maintenance, shows exceptional tolerance to various stresses, and resists foot traffic well.

Note: in our hottest and driest regions, it is almost impossible to maintain a short grass meadow that stays green in summer without any watering. Without watering, it will often take on a characteristic "straw mat" appearance. However, it will quickly green up again with the return of rain.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place, in March-April (sowing in September-October in hot and dry climate), in well-worked soil, cleared of weeds, refined and raked. Sow broadcast on the surface of the soil then lightly rake to cover the seeds. Optionally, roll to ensure the seeds adhere well to the soil. Water regularly with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if it does not rain.

Dosage:

Creation: 1 box of 1 kg for 65 m²

Overseeding: 1 box of 1 kg for 100 m²
