Description

With its semi-double flowers with crinkled salmon pink petals, Chaenomeles speciosa 'Falconnet Charlet' is widely used in romantic-style gardens.

Japanese quince bushes are very attractive shrubs. They come in many varieties with single or double flowers in colours ranging from bright red to pure white.

They are rounded or spreading in habit depending on the variety, and produce fruits similar to small inedible quinces in summer. The fruits persist long after the leaves have fallen. Hardy and vigorous, it dislikes excess limestone in the soil and prefers sunny exposures.
