Arrivé tout sec. Pas une leaf rien, je l'ai mis à trempé et repiqué mais je ne pense pas qu'il va prendre vie. Pourquoi envoyé un bush comme ça ?

Description

The Exochorda racemosa Niagara is a compact ornamental bush with drooping branches adorned with an abundance of flowers in clusters of a beautiful pure white. It offers a cascade of flowers in gardens in spring.

This superb bush, still relatively unknown to the general public, grows by forming beautiful slightly reddish brown branches, first erect, then slightly arching with the appearance of elongated and lanceolate, tender green foliage. During the months of May and June, the Exochorda Niagara bears numerous branches that will completely arch under the weight of a multitude of clusters of 6 to 10  white flowers. These flowers measure from 3 to 4cm (1.6in) in diameter. Its name was not given by chance, the graceful branches weighed down by the white flowers will touch the ground and you will have a real white cascade in your garden or on your terrace.

The Exochorda racemosa 'Niagara' reaches a height of 1.50m (4.9ft) at maturity. This hardy bush is the most appreciated cultivar for its trailing habit and abundant flowering. This spring-interest exochorda has a medium growth rate.

This bush called pearl tree is very suitable for informal hedges, on its own or in flower beds. It can also be used in a pot (at least 50cm (19.7in) in diameter). In any case, enough space should be left for it to spread. When isolated, perennials and bulbs that flower at the same time, such as ipheions or chionodoxas, can be planted at its base. It can also be planted in front of a dark-leaved hedge, such as conifers, to highlight its flowering.

Planting and care

Plant the Exochorda racemosa Niagara in full, but not scorching, sun or in partial shade, in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil. Any good, well-worked garden soil that is not too chalky is suitable. Plant it deeply in the ground during autumn for flowering in May and June. Light pruning after flowering is recommended to remove faded branches and to even out the growth. Cut back the oldest branches (over 3 years old) by one-third. This will promote the growth of young shoots and prevent the bush from becoming bare at the base. Carry out this pruning every two to three years, after flowering, while ensuring good air circulation in the centre of the bush. Remove any low branches to maintain a cascading aspect.
