Description
New American selection specially designed for terraces and small gardens Hydrangea paniculata 'Bobo' also blooms with exceptional abundance.
Much smaller and bushier than its larger siblings, this charming shrubby hydrangea barely reaches a height of 70cm (27.6in). From August to October, it is completely covered in panicles of flowers over 20cm (7.9in) in length, initially white tinged with green, they gradually turn cream and then pale pink as they fade. To top it off, they can also be used for making fresh and dried bouquets.
The flowering attracts butterflies. The panicles are borne on short, thick and very rigid branches. This panicled Hydrangea has deciduous dark green foliage that turns red in autumn.
Hydrangea paniculata 'Bobo' forms a compact bush as wide as it is tall, reaching 70cm (27.6in) x 70cm. Therefore, it fits perfectly on terraces and balconies, but can also be planted as a border in flower beds. Vigorous and robust, it has good hardiness and requires sun and moisture to flower properly.
Available in a 10L pot.

Planting and care
When planting, place your Hydrangea paniculata 'Bobo' in deeply worked soil. A good base fertilizer (horn or dehydrated blood) will promote the establishment of your plant and nourish it without the risk of burning. Hydrangea paniculatas prefer humus-bearing soils but tolerates less fertile soils and drought more easily. If your soil tends to be dry, mix our water retainer, stockosorb, with the soil when filling the planting hole and provide a watering basin on the surface. Their spring vegetation is quite late. Water frequently during flowering, while avoiding direct watering of the foliage and flowers. In late summer, we recommend not cutting the dry umbels, as they will protect the terminal shoots of the branches in winter. Cut all the dry flowers at the end of February or at the first warm days. Paniculata hydrangeas require vigorous pruning to develop large inflorescences.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
