Our collection of bushy Sage plants with violet or mauve flowers. These are highly floriferous small bushes, such as Salvia jamensis 'Violette de Loire', the undisputed star of terraces and sunny flowerbeds in recent years. Also discover Salvia microphylla 'So Cool Purple', a hassle-free plant with purplish-violet flowers, and Salvia greggii 'Mirage Violet', a compact and highly floriferous variety with a bright violet colour. Sometimes considered blue, Salvia microphylla 'Delice Aquamarine' produces a pastel blueish mauve flowering. These bushy perennials, measuring between 50 and 80 cm (20 and 32in) in all directions, are among the most abundant in flowers from May to October. Shrubby Sage will grow without problems in a rather mild and sunny climate, but is preferably cultivated in a pot in regions that are rainy and cold in winter, allowing it to be brought indoors as soon as frost is announced. If you want to plant it outside in a cold region, remember to provide it with very well-draining soil and a well-protected location sheltered from cold winds.
