This geotextile felt not only stabilises the soil of pathways and patios, but also prevents soil and gravel mixing. It is positioned between the soil and the gravel. Its lifespan is over 10 years. This grey felt is sold in a 25m x 1m (82ft x 3ft) roll.

The GEOTEX felt for pathways is the ideal solution for stabilising the soil of paths and patios, as well as preventing the garden soil and gravel coating mixing. Made from a non-decomposable material, its lifespan exceeds 10 years. Available in a 25m x 1m (82ft x 3ft) roll, it can be cut with a good pair of scissors according to needs.

This grey geotextile felt is made of non-woven polyester (thermo-bonded polyester fibres) with a density of 100g/m². When creating a path, it should be positioned between the soil and the gravel. Geotex is water-permeable, but non-decomposable and very resistant. It can remain in the soil for many years without damage. Its texture is dense enough to prevent perforations and it prevents garden soil from mixing with gravel, castine, slate, or pozzolana coatings, for example. Once installed, this felt improves load-bearing capacity, acts as a filter, stabilises the soil, and prevents drain clogging. The Geotex felt can be buried and covered. When positioned within the thickness of a layer of sand, for example, for the creation of a path, it will prevent weeds from re-establishing and returning to the surface of the mineral mulch.

Detailed features

Directions for use Use this felt to create a driveway, patio, or pond, or when installing drains. Creating a driveway or terrace: place it on a prepared and level soil, then cover it with a thick layer of gravel, limestone, slate, bark, or pumice, for example. If you dig your structure to install a layer of sand, place the felt within the thickness of this layer of sand, below the coating. It will prevent weeds from reestablishing and resurfacing through the mineral mulch. Creating a pond: the fabric should line the walls and the bottom of the structure. Position the waterproof liner on top of it. Installing a drainage system as part of excavation and construction work: once the trench is made, add a layer of gravel, followed by the geotextile, and then the PVC pipe. The felt will cover the PVC pipe, and then the trench can be filled with soil.
