These metal staples with their narrow 'U' shape are very practical for securing ground cover sheets and preventing them from moving or flying away. Simply push them into the ground cover and then into the soil using a mallet or even by hand if the garden soil is loose. They are sold in packs of 20.
These 3 cm (1in) wide metal staples have two 14 cm (6in) long prongs. They provide effective stabilisation of the ground cover on the soil, even in strong winds or heavy rains, on flat terrain as well as on slopes. This fixing system is suitable for biodegradable plant felts and mulches as well as woven plastic sheets. For effective fixing, place them around the perimeter of your ground cover, with approximately 30 cm (12in) spacing between 2 staples.

It will vary according to where you live:
