This practical kit is composed of a propagator and a biodegradable culture plate that contains square culture cells measuring 5cm (2in) on each side. You can sow your flowers and vegetables in it and store it in a bright and heated place. Once the seedlings have developed, simply separate the cells from each other and place them directly in garden soil, where they will decompose. This clever and ecological cultivation technique avoids handling the fragile roots of young plants while allowing them to grow unhindered.

This clever and practical seed kit is composed of a propagator and a growing tray made of biodegradable wood fibres. You can sow flowers and vegetables in it, and store it in a bright and heated place. Once the seedlings have developed, simply separate the pots from each other and place them with the plant directly in garden soil, without disturbing its roots.

Made from wood fibres from trees in French forests, the growing tray has 28 square-shaped growing cells, each measuring 5cm (2in) on all sides. They are in one piece, but can be easily separated. This makes it easy to set up, sow, handle, care for, water, and transplant. The transparent plastic lid fits perfectly over the growing tray, creating a favourable microclimate (heat, humidity) for germination and growth of the seedlings. The biodegradable plant-based pots offer many advantages. Their walls have a dense and porous mesh that enables easy root penetration, and ensures good water retention and excellent aeration of the growing substrate. These are essential factors for seed germination and healthy seedling growth. In addition, the roots remain intact during transplantation, which facilitates successful establishment in the ground. The wood fibre will gradually decompose, along with the substrate, completely disappearing once in the soil. Remember to open your propagator from time to time to remove excess steam and humidity.

Detailed features

Directions for use Place your culture plate on a suitable support, such as a table or shelf. Fill each cell with special sowing soil. Sow your seeds following the instructions for each plant, and water gently. Place the transparent lid on the culture plate, then store everything in a bright and heated room. Remember to open the propagator from time to time to remove condensation and excess humidity. Ensure that the soil remains slightly moist, but not waterlogged. Once the seedlings are well developed, you can easily separate each culture cell to repot them individually in a larger pot or plant them directly in the ground. There is no need to remove the seedlings from the cells. Dig a planting hole at least twice as large and deep as the cell, then simply place it in the hole with its seedling still inside. Fill with a substrate suitable for the plant (potting soil, a mixture of soil and potting soil). Water to firmly compact the soil around the roots.
