This long sheath of white winter fleece made of non-woven polypropylene 30g/m² can be cut to the desired length to fit the size of each plant that needs protection from the cold. Simply slide it on from the top onto the bush or plant, then tighten it at the base and above the plant. Dimensions: 10 m (33ft) x 1 m (3ft).

This long white winter fleece sheath 'Hivertube' can be cut to the desired length, to fit the size of each plant that needs protection from the cold, in the garden or in pots. Simply slip it over the top of the bush or plant, then tighten it at the base and above the plant using a tie. Dimensions: 10m (33ft) x 1m (3ft). Once opened, it has a diameter of 63cm (25in).

The 'Hivertube' wintering sheath is made of non-woven polypropylene with a density of 30g/m², providing good thermal insulation. This sheath has an appearance and flexibility reminiscent of a very light, white, honeycomb fabric, but it is a non-biodegradable material that has been treated to resist UV rays from the sun for several winters. This material acts as a barrier against wind and hail and creates a favourable microclimate by retaining the heat accumulated during the day around the plant. Its permeable texture ensures good air circulation, limiting the accumulation of moisture produced by evergreen foliage that continues to breathe in winter. The ambient humidity as well as rainwater partially infiltrate to reach the plant, preventing the growing medium from drying out in pots. This sheath, once cut to the appropriate length, can be easily placed on the plant by simply slipping it over the top. Tie the sheath at the base of the plant or its pot, and then above it to close the protection. Ventilate during mild weather and remember to water if necessary during the warmest hours of the day. Polypropylene is a material largely derived from the recycling of other products.

Directions for use This non-woven polypropylene winter sheath provides effective protection for all frost-sensitive plants, perennials or shrubs, deciduous and even evergreen, grown in pots outdoors or in the ground. It is easy to put in place in autumn: Cut the necessary length to completely wrap the plant (and its pot if necessary), allowing for an additional 40 cm (16in) to close it at the top and bottom. Slide this sheath onto the plant from the top. If your plant is a little too wide, you can loosely tie its branches with a cord to reduce its size. Using a string or cord, tighten the fleece at the bottom and above the plant. You can ventilate during good weather when it is not freezing, and then close before the temperatures drop. Watering is often necessary in winter, especially for evergreen plants or those from mild climates: always water in mild weather, preferably in the middle of the day, at the base of the plants.
