Lycium barbarum or Barbary Bush belonging to the family of Solanaceae forms a bush producing small ovoid red-orange berries - the Goji Berry - whose richness in vitamin C and antioxidants is widely praised. Originally from China, it produces a delicate light purple flowering in spring. This beautiful spiny bush, once trained, can be included in a country hedge among currant bushes, raspberry bushes or even blackberry bushes. Hardy, it knows how to resist drought episodes but does not disdain rich and fresh soils. On the contrary, it will be even more prolific. The berries are traditionally consumed dried.
