The Kordes Roses come from Germany. For over a hundred years, under the direction of Wilhem Kordes, varieties of roses have been selected across the Rhine that combine a number of qualities. Kordes Roses are mostly highly resistant to diseases (mildew, powdery mildew, black spot, etc.), but also very floriferous from May until the first frost and remarkably cold-resistant. In recent years, there has been a great resurgence of old roses: Kordes, like David Austin in England, has been able to create wonderful roses that combine the charm and fragrance of antique roses with the very long flowering period of modern roses. Often holders of the highly selective German A.D.R label, these roses are full of charm and require little maintenance.
