Description

With this collection, let the colours of the Orient enter your garden! The four varieties of tulips in this collection bloom in shades of orange, deep purple, red, and dark red. The floral spikes of the hyacinth, with their sweet fragrance and very pale yellow colour, illuminate the whole. This selection will easily create an exotic decor, with staggered flowering, which can be enjoyed from March to June. Your Oriental Carpet will become magical with orange fritillaries, grape hyacinths, and other Chionodoxa!

The Oriental Carpet collection consists of:

- 10x Tulip fosteriana Orange Emperor: full of vivacity, this variety wakes up flower beds and borders. Its large flared cups are light orange washed with bright orange. Robust, weather-resistant, and undemanding, it will faithfully flower for several years, in mid-March. Height 35 cm.

- 10x Early single tulip Purple Prince: a variety with richly coloured single flowers in deep purple. Its very sturdy 30 cm stem perfectly withstands the weather. Blooms in March-April.

- 10x Late double tulip Antraciet: a magnificent dark peony-like flower, with multiple magenta-red petals turning wine red. Ideal in borders and flower beds. Late flowering, in May-June. Its stem measures 45 cm in height.

- 6x Late double tulip Red Princess: on a stout and sturdy 35 cm stem, a large, well-double, deep red satin flower blooms, with petals darker at the base and outside of the corolla, often marked with yellow, white, and grey stripes. It holds up well in flower beds and vases and blooms in May-June.

- 5x Hyacinth City of Harleem: a late variety that produces a robust spike of cream-yellow, deliciously scented flowers. Blooms in April-May, on a 25 cm stem.

Individually labelled.

This collection will be lovely in large flower beds, borders, rockeries, and flower beds. It can also be planted in pots or containers, beautifying balconies and terraces. It will also be perfect for creating vibrant bouquets.

Planting and care

Plant your bulbs as soon as possible in a well-drained soil. Loosen the soil deeply. Plant at a depth of 10 cm (Bulbs should be covered with twice their height of soil). Space the bulbs a few cm apart, making sure they do not touch. Choose a sunny location for better flowering. After flowering, cut the flower stalks and allow the leaves to completely dry before cutting them.
