Single-flowering dahlia

Among all the Dahlias, those that bear single flowers, like Landscape Dahlias, have a unique charm and a flowering that blends easily with all the other plants in the garden. These classics of English gardens, like the tall 'Bishop', can be used to hide wire fences, or in flowering pots for the terrace or balcony, just like the dwarf Dahlias 'Happy Single'. They harmonize perfectly with the lightness of grasses and airy perennials. They present a 'head' surrounded by a crown of petals (ligules) arranged flat, they evoke those of slightly naive daisies, like those drawn by children. Star plants of borders and cottage gardens, Dahlias confidently accompany the most beautiful flowers as well as the humble ones from the vegetable garden. With their single corollas that bloom relentlessly from summer until the first frost, deadheading is unnecessary: they are perfect for large flower beds.
