Thyme plants

Thyme, Wild Thyme or Barigoule are essential perennial aromatic and culinary plants. They can be grown in pots or in the ground and will thrive in poor, light, almost stony, well-drained soil. They particularly enjoy the sun, heat and even drought, which enhance their fragrance. They can be propagated by sowing seeds or taking cuttings and can be harvested all year round thanks to their evergreen grey-green foliage. Transfer your plug plants in April or May. Be sure to include a Variegated Lemon Thyme among the ranks of your vegetable garden as its strong odour will deter aphids and other pests.
