This large traditional hoe with an ash handle, featuring a 3-tine spork-shaped head, is perfect for removing weeds while pulling. Combining the action of a spade and a fork, it excels in tougher soils. Its head is hand-forged from boron steel.

This traditional large spork-shaped hoe from De Pypere is equipped with a long ash handle and has a "spoon-fork" shaped head with 3 sharp, slightly curved and solid tines, allowing for ergonomic use. It is a powerful garden tool that combines the advantages of a spade and a fork, and is very well suited for working on the toughest soils. It is effective for removing weeds, can be used for earthing up, and also facilitates aeration and superficial loosening. Its blade is hand-forged from steel, with a boron steel finish. It is a durable and resistant, well-made tool that will last for many years.

Dimensions: trident-shaped head: 17 x 10cm (4in) - Handle length: 1.70m (6ft) (well suited for tall individuals)

The hoe is a basic tool, designed for weeding without the use of chemicals and for surface soil work. This spork-shaped model is suitable for loose and light soils as well as heavy soils. Closer to a pickaxe than a hoe, it allows for crumbling and lightening the surface layer of soil after digging, uprooting unwanted plants, earthing up vegetables (i.e. gathering soil into mounds around their base), or even digging shallow planting holes and furrows. Like the hoe, it will loosen the surface layer of soil, aerating the soil around the cultivated plants in the vegetable garden or ornamental garden. It also helps prevent the formation of a compacted layer that occurs after watering or rain in clayey or loamy soils. This hard and compact layer, which is very difficult to rehydrate and suffocating for plants, also promotes the rise of water to the surface and its evaporation. Working the soil on the surface after watering limits water evaporation. The spork-shaped hoe is suitable for loose and light soils as well as heavy and hard soils that are difficult to work with. It consists of a long handle made of natural ash, known for its hardness, with a socket where the head is fixed at a right angle, forged from tempered steel that is resistant to shocks, torsion, and corrosion. The handle is compostable, and the metal head is recyclable. The word 'spork' is an anglicism, originally referring to a utensil shaped like a spoon, with the pointed ends of a fork.

The traditional De Pypere range includes high-quality tools, all forged from steel and equipped with ash handles. The tempered boron steel that covers the blades is very hard and very resistant, making it a valuable material for tools that can be heavily used in the garden.

This tool is under warranty. This warranty does not apply to handles or grips, only to the metal parts, except consumables (screws, springs, etc.) and within the scope of normal use.

Directions for use This is an essential tool, closer to a pickaxe than a hoe. It is designed both to weed the vegetable garden or ornamental garden without resorting to the use of chemicals and to work the soil on the surface. After digging, the gardener uses the hoe to loosen, aerate and refine the superficial layer of soil, dig shallow planting holes or furrows. The hoe allows for easy removal of unwanted plants, as well as earthing up vegetables, which means gathering the soil into a mound at the base of the plants. This spork-shaped hoe is suitable for loose and light soils, as well as heavy and hard soils that are difficult to work.
