This traditional Spear & Jackson garden sieve is an accessory that allows the gardener to work quickly and efficiently, and will last for many years. It is a small, handy and sturdy tool, not too wide (33 cm), rigid, lightweight, strong and resistant to rust. It performs well with all types of soil and is perfect for sifting the soil, removing large rocks, stones and various debris.
The garden sieve is very useful to the gardener. Its mesh allows fine particles of soil to pass through, break up moderately compact clumps, and retain various elements that need to be eliminated to prepare the soil for sowing or young plants. It will also be essential for sifting compost, before use, by removing large plant debris that is not sufficiently decomposed.
